TDavid from TD ScriptsCan you guess what astrological sign TDavid is?TDavid started learning programming using Basic back in the Vic-20 and Commodore 64 days (1980-1984). TDavid's dream actually has been to be a published writer and he went on to write 7 novels from 1986 - 1994 under his birthname. From 1988-1990 he was represented by the Sandra Dijkstra Literary agency for his genre horror novel, Fresh Flesh which to date remains unpublished. He stopped writing fiction at the end of 1998. He entered the National Novel Writing Month contest in 2004 and is blogging about the experience writing his first fiction novel in 6 years.

He was first a writer and then later NOVL (NOVL Write) and a writer at AOL keyword: NOVEL (Dan Hurley's Amazing Instant Novelist Area) beginning on May 12, 1997, editing and judging short story writing under the AOL nickname of ToddRWrite. He created nearly 90 (mostly horror genre) short short stories from 1997 to 1998. From 1996 - 1999 he was the webmaster for a number of commercial websites, both mainstream and adult-oriented, most of which used free hosting and are no longer available on the web. He started http://www.tdscripts.com/ in 1999 to share some of the programs and scripts he had been using on his own websites. Through its commercial popularity, TDavid began to move away from creating primarily surfer-oriented content and focused on webmaster-oriented content.

TDavid added http://www.php-scripts.com to support the then nascent but now popular PHP scripting language and to track his diary of learning this language online in the Winter of 1999. After an overwhelming response from webmasters and programmers for more tutorials and how-to lessons, specifically from adult webmasters who didn't have the abundance of specific learning content that mainstream programming sites offered, he decided to open http://www.scriptschool.com/ in Spring 2000 which would focus specifically on teaching adult webmasters how to program in various languages for the web. A few months later Script School was sponsored by adult affiliate programs and resources like http://www.cecash.com and http://www.adultnetsurprise.com who are among several other sponsors who support the program as of Nov 2004. Besides producing eight full length, original, free programming courses, Script School includes a LIVE radio broadcast via http://www.scriptschool.com/radio/ every Friday from 2-4pm PST. Script School periodically adds fresh, original courses that 'Principal TDavid' oversees. Script School Radio is currently the longest known running adult webmaster education web radio show on the internet with it's 215th weekly show being broadcast live on November 12, 2004.

TDavid had seen messageboards he posted at going offline and some of the help he had offered others, as well as views made on various topics was being lost so during the summer of 2001, TDavid published his personal site http://www.tdavids.com which was setup primarily to be a place to crosspost messages he had made on various messageboards around the web. Supplementally, TDavid added his first official blog http://www.tdavids.com/blogger/ which he rarely updates.

In Fall 2002, http://www.tdprograms.com was released as a source reference for the Windows Desktop programs TDavid was creating like ANS Audiozone which was a voice posting and audio messgageboard which ultimately failed to gain significant popularity among adult webmasters. The ANS Audiozone would also read webmasters the messageboard posts via a speech synthesized radio feed. Later, in 2004 TDavid would create another Windows Desktop program with online integration using PHP for the server side programming: Tournament Video Poker: a game that people could compete in while listening to web radio shows. None of these programs have been linked to from tdprograms.com but there are links inside the About section of these programs to TDprograms.com

It wasn't until July 4, 2003 that TDavid got more involved in blogs and blogging and created the blog: http://www.makeyougohmm.com/, which he continues to regularly update, and it occasionally includes guest bloggers. It has received comments/feedback from many well known bloggers.

Following the 200th broadcast on July 30, 2004 of the Script School Radio show, TDavid decided to break the show up into two one hour shows instead of a single two hour web radio show with the first hour being targeted to adult webmasters and the second hour being broadcast through a new website: http://www.webmastercookbook.com/ which would have a family-oriented and a worksafe web radio show format. For this new website a cooking-like motiff was selected and TDavid created and used the nickname: ChefTD. In the free weekly Webmaster Cookbook show, TDavid teaches his teenage son using the nickname "Jowl" step-by-step how to build a website complete with original quizzes and tests. The show is available for streaming in MP3 format LIVE on Fridays at 3pm PST / 6pm EST / 11pm GMT as well as available via podcasting. As of November 2004 Webmaster Cookbook is commercial free.

TDavid has been a paid, published columnist for an adult webmaster print magazine http://www.klixxx.com and was asked to write the November 2004 Klixxx magazine editorial. He has written over 100 articles for various ezines all over the web and participated in or completed custom programming projects spanning the globe. He visits the following seminars: CES, Internext (January) and has contributed to and/or spoken on various panels over the year at smaller shows.
